“ Fantastic food. We were in a large group, and service was generally good until it was time to pay. We hadn't asked for a split check and trying to decipher the bill was difficult. Apparently if you order anything that deviates from the menu, there's a surcharge. ”
“ I was looking for a new Mexican restaurant and think I have found one with El Sombrero! I ordered take out, however, the restaurant is spacious but cozy and next time I’ll be sitting down to eat! I ordered the Viking Burrito (which I thought was a weird name for a burrito), and it might have been one of the tastiest burritos I’ve had in the South Bay! Every flavor was pronounced, the citrus in the carnitas, the beans, the rice and the AMAZING green sauce to make it wet! Absolutely loved this burrito! Homemade chips and their salsa has a unique flavor and is delicious! On top of that, the front counter person was SUPER nice. ”
“ Friendly staff and very tasty food at a good price ”
“ Quick was the name of this five star. Quick seat for a Saturday night in this small little dig. Quick service with chips and salsa and drinks. Quick order taking. Quick food to table. But food didn't taste fast. It was great and my family of 6 was satisfied! (Chicken tortilla is one of my wife's favorites but she didn't care for this variation. Other than that, El Sombrero for a win.) ”
“ We have been to El Sombrero #1 closer to the Pacific Ocean, parking can be hard to locate plus parking meters. The staff was courteous and very friendly knowledgeable about the expansive menu. The food was delicious and hot. They even serve adults beverages. ”
“ Absolutely delicious food at a great price! Awesome margaritas and chips and salsa. The salsa was super spicy but yummy. Split the fish burrito with my husband and we each got a taco. He got the potato and I got the carnitas taco. Soooo delicious. If we were locals, we would definitely be back. ”
“ I'm vegan and just walking into a taco spot its unexpected to find something delicious and also vegan but it took me 2 seconds to order such a great meal, and on top of that lots of people don't even know what really qualifies something as vegan but the cook here even made sure I knew there was milk in the guacamole when I asked for it! Saved me a stomach ache and made me want to come back again and again. But there's more!! I got take out and a lot of places now don't want you eating takeout inside but they not only let me eat it inside they also gave me water and utensils. Everything about this place screams good vibes I love it so much. If you're vegan try getting the vegetarian hard shell taco with no cheese and add grilled vegetables. And add a grilled jalapeno. It's delicious. ”
“ El Sombrero never fails to disappoint; whenever my friend and I go to El Sombrero, I usually get a kids meal, and he gets two chicken tacos, and let me tell you, they never disappoint. The staff is always friendly, and I never feel offended or uncomfortable around them; even in these challenging times, the staff is just as nice. On the other hand 1000/10 the food is always cooked with care, and it always tastes delicious. The Mexican rice is seasoned well and tastes amazing. The meat is always perfectly seasoned and matches well with the tacos. The Horchata is excellent as well. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody in Manhattan beach ”
